The large stoats tail on a salar double is a fantastic salmon fly for all seasons from spring right through to the end of the season. When the fish want a larger fly this is a great option. Late in the season some believe the large silver body is very attractive for cock salmon as they start to defend their territory and don't like smaller fish in their areas.
